Together with my coauthors Stefano Gagliarducci and Paolo Naticchioni, and thanks to the funding of the non-profit association “ERE – Empirical Research in Economics,” we collected detailed individual information on the demographic characteristics, political and work experience, income patterns, legislative accomplishments, and absences of the universe of Italian members of Parliament from 1987 to 2008. Below, you can download the full data set in Stata format. For a precise description of the variables and data sources, please have a look at the README file below.
